Wyre Forest Youth for Christ
We are passionate about serving young people and those who work with them.
We want every young person in Wyre Forest and surrounding areas to know that they are loved – engaging with schools, churches and youth events throughout the district.
We work predominantly with young people, churches and schools in the Wyre Forest Council District in the north of Worcestershire.
We aim to do that by sharing good news, in a relevant way, with every young person in Wyre Forest; engaging with secondary schools, colleges, churches and local youth events. Our hope is that each young person is given the opportunity to make their own informed decision about the Christian faith.
We want to enthuse and envision each church in Wyre Forest to see the importance of youth ministry and what part they can play in helping the next generation be discipled in the Christian faith. Where churches have a heart and capacity to engage with young people, we hope to partner with them; helping them to be – bold in their vision; creative and relevant with their content; effective in their delivery; and welcoming in their engagement. Where churches are not yet in a place to run their own youth ministry, we hope to help them see how they can prayerfully, financially and spiritually support the wider church reach to young people in Wyre Forest.
Our work/
We believe that Jesus has a plan for Wyre Forest. It will start with young people. It will grow through unity across churches, schools and the whole community. We want to see young people lead the way in a united fellowship of God’s Kingdom in Wyre Forest. We would love to see young people from all backgrounds, all gender identities, all sexual orientations, all races and cultural heritages, all levels of physical and mental ability, all socio-economic statuses being welcomed in church, able to know that they are loved by a living God, and able to worship Him in return.
